The Department of Public Safety arrested a Brown student on charges of disorderly conduct and resisting arrest at the men's ice hockey game in Meehan Auditorium Friday night, Deputy Chief of Police for DPS Paul Shanley wrote in an email to The Herald.

DPS has arrested seven Brown students since 2010, including three for cases of domestic assault, Shanley wrote. He wrote that the University's sporting events usually feature very few public safety problems.

DPS officers turned the student over to the Providence Police for processing following the arrest, Shanley wrote. He declined to comment on the student's identity.

Director of Sports Information Christopher Humm was not present at the game, he wrote in an email to The Herald. He declined to comment on the arrest.
