Bruno overcame the Quakers 2-1 with an overtime goal from Nico Lozada ’18 in the 99th minute of play. The Bears have had six matches go into overtime. Looking forward, they have three contests remaining in the season.

The men’s soccer team faced the Penn Quakers Saturday at home in a matchup of two teams tied for fourth in the Ivy League standings.

Goalie Joey Cipicchio ’18 punts the ball from his own end. The netminder was able to keep the Big Red out for the entirety of regulation, but Cornell squeezed a goal over the line in double overtime to grab the win.

After defeating nationally-ranked Tulsa away from home, the Bears endured a more modest result in a testy affair between in-state rivals. The teams had to be separated at midfield in the second half after some physical play.
