Through a live concert, speakers and a conference this weekend, student environmental group emPOWER worked to raise awareness of environmental issues.

Techstyle Haus — a solar house designed by students from Brown, the Rhode Island School of Design and the University of Applied Sciences in Germany, is made from a flexible fiberglass material called Sheerfill. Construction of the house began in January 2014 in a parking lot in Cranston, R.I.
