The softball team (13-14, 2-6 Ivy League) won its first home game of the season Saturday against Princeton (7-25, 1-7), but then lost the second game of the day to the Tigers. In their doubleheader against Cornell (21-8, 7-1) Sunday, the Bears were outscored, 23-4, and mercy-ruled in both games.

Over spring break, the softball team (12-9, 1-3 Ivy) started off strong, defeating Bryant (3-23). However, the team went on to lose its first two Ivy League games to Penn (9-12, 4-0) and only managed to win one of two games against Columbia (6-17, 1-3).

The softball team (10–6) began the Rebel Spring Games in Kissimmee, Fla., with a 6–4 win and then were shut out 6–0 in two consecutive games. But the Bears rallied back to win two of their last three contests.

The softball team (2-2) began the Retriever Classic at the University of Maryland-Baltimore County on a strong note, beating Morgan State (4-6) and Fairleigh Dickinson (4-4) on Saturday. But UMBC (9-1) beat the Bears in both games on Sunday, including the championship game.
