On Friday, four members of the men’s track and field team — Captain Tosin Oyewole ’18, Captain Zack Emrich ’18, Zachary Lanigan ’20 and Martin Martinez ’18 — flew to Winston-Salem, North Carolina, to compete in the UCS Invitational, squaring off against some of the nation’s top teams in the distance medley relay.

Martin Martinez ’18 became one of the 510 Americans who can run a sub-four minute mile on Saturday, breaking Brown’s outdoor track record.

The men’s cross country team squared off against a slew of familiar foes Friday at the NCAA Northeast Region Championships.

Andrew Foerder ’18 powers to the finish line in Van Cortlandt Park Friday. Five Bears finished the five-mile course in the top 50 of 88 runners, but Bruno was unable to stymie the efforts of its Ivy League foes despite previous victories over rivals Dartmouth and Harvard earlier in the season.
