The men’s cross country team finished 11th among 34 total teams, while the women’s team captured eighth place in a 37 team field at Friday’s NCAA Northeast Regional Championship in Madison, Connecticut. Though neither squad qualified for the NCAA Championship, bringing both seasons to an end, Margaret Connelly ’14 earned an individual bid to the meet.

Alex Norocea '14, kicker for the men’s football team, has scored on 31 out of 45 career field goal attempts. In Bruno’s game against Yale Saturday, Norocea scored the 12th longest field goal kick in University history.

Women’s team places third in Ivy League Championship

In a repeat of its 2010 results, the women’s cross country team earned third place, while the men’s team finished last at Saturday’s Ivy League Heptagonal Championships, hosted by Princeton. The women earned 93 points, tying Harvard and falling shy of second-place Princeton by only two points. Cornell won on the women’s side with 31 points, while Princeton dominated the men’s race, accruing only 26 points compared to Bruno’s 223.

The cross country team struggled in a nationally competitive field at the Adidas Invitational last Friday, as the men finished second to last in a field of 45 and the women 26th of 49. At the meet, hosted by the University of Wisconsin, perennial cross country powerhouse Stanford University won the men’s race, and Iowa State University dominated on the women’s side.
