Kate is the managing editor of daily content at The Herald, where she organizes staff trainings, develops multimedia features, and oversees production of the daily newspaper. A junior at Brown, she is majoring in urban studies but will pursue a career in journalism. Kate hails from Minneapolis, Minnesota, where she enjoys sailing in holes cut out of the still-frozen lake in the spring. Outside the newsroom, Kate has been known to frequent dance parties and doughnut shops.

“We thought if we could get an audience of 300,000, we could get a second season,” Koenig said. Within five days of the premiere, they reached their goal.

As the Engaged Scholars Program expands to include five additional concentrations next year, the University will hire an assistant director of the program to develop new curricular initiatives. “We hope to have as many as 40 concentrations in the program,” Dean of the College Maud Mandel said.

St. Vincent extended her Digital Witness tour, which included a stop at Lupo’s Heartbreak Hotel Sunday night, into this summer. She received her first Grammy nomination for Best Alternative Music Album in December 2014 for her eponymous album St. Vincent, and she demonstrated her lyrical genius during her performance in Providence.
