Molly was a senior editor on The Herald's 125th Editorial Board in 2015. Prior to this position, she was a metro editor and a senior staff writer with the academics and advising beat. Molly ​hails from Coral Springs, Florida and plans to get an ScB in Psychology. Outside of The Herald, she can be found eating Blue Room cookies, counting down the days until the next Kickball game, Googling up a storm or watching the Real Housewives.

Supreme Court may restrict access to cheaper textbooks

The Supreme Court heard arguments for the case Kirtsaeng v. John Wiley and Sons, which centers on the issue of whether international copyrighted works can be bought and sold in the United States without the owner’s consent, last Monday. Depending on the decision the court reaches, students may no longer be able to resell international editions of their textbooks.

For third year, U. hosts Latino scholars

Forty college students from Latin America and Puerto Rico arrived at Brown Oct. 1 to kick off the two-month Botin Scholars program, which brings students to the University for a week before they head to Spain for the duration of the program. This is the third consecutive year that the Watson Institute for International Studies and the Center for Latin American and Caribbean Studies partnered with Fundacion Botin of Spain to host the students.

Brown Plus One master’s program adds new partner school

Trinity College Dublin became the newest partner school in Brown Plus One, a study abroad program that allows students to earn one-year master’s degrees following graduation, last spring. Trinity College joins the University of Edinburgh and the Chinese University of Hong Kong as the three Brown Plus One partner universities.
