But the men’s soccer team was still far from pleased with the outcome of Tuesday night’s game against Boston University at Stevenson Field, where the Terriers snapped the Bears’ season-opening seven-game unbeaten streak with a 1-0 victory.

In its final competition of the fall, the men’s golf team placed 13th at the ECAC Championship over the weekend. After two rounds at the Shelter Harbor Country Club in Charlestown, the Bears finished with a team total of 625 strokes. St. Bonaventure University took home the title, carding a 596.

When wide receiver Buddy Farnham ’10 snuck into the end zone to tie the score at 34-34, with 11:02 to play in Saturday’s football game, the Brown Stadium crowd cheered in disbelief. At halftime, the Bears faced a seemingly insurmountable 31-10 deficit, but the team charged back into contention in its matchup against the College of the Holy Cross.

The volleyball team broke out of an early-season slump in a big way Wednesday night. The Bears (2-8) trounced the University of Rhode Island 3-0, sweeping their way to victory in Kingston with game scores of 30-21, 30-24 and 30-26.

In its season debut this Saturday, the equestrian team opened with a bang. The squad defeated the University of Connecticut and the University of Rhode Island by accumulating 42 points in a show at Faith Hill Farm in East Greenwich.
