Stapleford ’21: Against the disability identity center

On March 12, 1990, over 60 physically disabled individuals threw themselves out of their wheelchairs, abandoned their crutches and left their walkers behind to protest the delay of the long-awaited passage of the Americans with Disabilities Act.

Though Wilson received a full exterior renovation five years ago, the new update will make the interior more accessible, which is particularly urgent given the high volume of foot traffic in the building.
