Jason Katz ’19 only needed one attempt to win the long jump at the Ivy League Heptagonal Indoor Track and Field Championships.

Dominique Leonidas ‘21 scored a career-high 21 points against Harvard Friday night.  In the future, she hopes to win the Ivy League Championship.

On Friday, four members of the men’s track and field team — Captain Tosin Oyewole ’18, Captain Zack Emrich ’18, Zachary Lanigan ’20 and Martin Martinez ’18 — flew to Winston-Salem, North Carolina, to compete in the UCS Invitational, squaring off against some of the nation’s top teams in the distance medley relay.

Desmond Cambridge ’21 takes a shot while Travis Fuller ’19 waits for the rebound. Cambridge led all Brown scorers with 13 points against Dartmouth, followed by Brandon Anderson ’20 and Tamenang Choh ’21.


Brown drops critical road games to Harvard, Dartmouth

The men’s basketball team’s hopes to make Ivy League playoffs were dashed  this weekend, as close losses to Harvard and Dartmouth gave Brown a losing record with just four conference contests remaining in the season.

Brown powered to victory against UMass-Amherst to place the team in prime position going into the Eastern College Athletic Conference Championship next weekend. The victory was highlighted by a clutch performance by Maddie Stearns ’18.

The women’s squash team earned its second straight win last Thursday with a 9-0 victory over Dickinson College. The team, ranked 11th in the nation, was led by Hannah Seckendorf ’20. Playing in the number one slot, Seckendorf fought back from a two-game deficit in a best-of-five sets match to claim victory.

Volleyball’s middle blocker Courtney Palm ’19 led the team as it broke its four-game losing streak Saturday. The team will play Harvard on Friday.
