Corporation approves five percent tuition increase for FY20

The Corporation, the University’s highest governing body, voted to approve a 5 percent increase in undergraduate student tuition charges as part of a $1.2 billion operating budget for the 2020 fiscal year at its winter meeting Feb. 7-9.

Dean of Faculty Kevin McLaughlin advocated establishing a reimagined center for language studies following a significant decrease in the study of language nationally over the past few years.

On Saturday Feb. 11 the Corporation, the University’s uppermost governing body, voted to approve a $1.1 billion budget for the 2019 fiscal year, which is a 3.8 percent increase from last year’s and the largest in the University’s history.
