Editorial: U.’s adjusted paid leave policies are commendable

This month, the University modified its paid sick and safe leave policies to be in compliance with the Rhode Island Sick and Safe Leave Act, signed into law by Gov. Gina Raimondo last year and put into effect this summer.

Deborah DeBare ’83, the new senior deputy director at the NNEDV, began her work on the issue of domestic violence while she was studying at Brown.

The National Network to End Domestic Violence has hired Deborah DeBare ’83 as its new senior deputy director. She has served as the executive director of the Rhode Island Coalition Against Domestic Violence for 23 years.
