Artist highlights ignored black history

Kamau Ware, artist and founder of Black Gotham Experience, spoke at the Center for the Public Humanities Tuesday afternoon as part of his touring presentation highlighting his New York City-based company.

Hosted in the John Nicholas Brown Center for Public Humanites and Cultural Heritage, the lab is the first of its kind. The objective is to give graduate students the opportunity to develop hands-on curatorial experience.

The John Nicholas Brown Center for Public Humanities and Cultural Heritage will host its first annual Public Humanities Lab from Feb. 20 to March 20.
