On Thursday, April 12, the University announced a multi-million dollar renovation of the Sharpe Refectory’s infrastructure, with the eventual goal of installing permanent cooling abilities there in the summer of 2019.

Brown Student Labor Alliance, which has been campaigning for air conditioning in the Sharpe Refectory to mitigate the kitchen’s summer heat, hosted a “Fans on Faunce” event Wednesday asking attendees to bring fans.

New year brings new changes to Sharpe Refectory

Students returning to campus this semester were met with an updated Sharpe Refectory after it underwent partial interior renovations over winter break.

Local high school students work after school and on weekends at the Sharpe Refectory, the University’s main dining hall on Wriston Quadrangle. Students also work at the Verney Woolley dining hall on Pembroke campus.
