Calvelli ’19: Shop for classes like you shop at Lowe’s

“Shopping period” has always struck me as being too consumerist a term, too readily embracing a transactional conception of education. An education has to be earned, not bought.

Approximately 20 students attended the CCC’s public forum on Monday. The University’s current drop date deadline is one of the latest in the Ivy League, but students expressed concerns about moving the date forward.
