The Undergraduate Council of Students unanimously approved a resolution at its general body meeting Wednesday evening demanding that the University hire an ombudsperson trained in transformative justice and community accountability processes to work with undergraduates.

New UCS leadership outlines plans for year

The Undergraduate Council of Students held its first meeting of the 2018-19 academic year Wednesday night. The meeting, which lasted about half an hour, featured introductions from executive board members, an explanation of the council’s plans for this year and an overview of some of its past work.

A newly drafted student complaint form emphasizes the inclusion of specific and objective language in reporting bias-based and less-targeted offenses, which UCS members hope to implement by the end of the semester.
