Volleyball falls to Ivy powerhouse Yale in conference opener

Despite dropping its Ivy opener to Yale in straight sets, the volleyball team looks ready to contend in conference play this season.

Coming off a pair of hard-fought games against Ivy League opponents Princeton and Penn, the women’s volleyball team began the second half of the Ivy season.

Emma Thygesen ’17 led the Bears with 10 kills against Dartmouth this weekend. She also had 29 total attempts.

Unable to stifle the momentum of either of its opponents, the volleyball team could not defeat conference foes Harvard and Dartmouth over the weekend.

Sabrina Stillwell ’19 goes up for a hit. The first-year recorded 32 kills in the team’s victory over Columbia Saturday night. Stillwell currently sits in second place for the most kills in a single game in program history.
