About nine inches of snow fell late Sunday night and early Monday morning in a winter storm. On Monday, libraries, some eateries, the University bookstore and administrative offices were closed; university classes before noon were cancelled, while classes after noon were left to the discretion of individual professors. A city-wide parking ban was put in place at midnight Monday.
