Playoff hopes dashed for women’s lacrosse

The women’s lacrosse team lost its fourth straight Ivy League game Saturday, falling 12-6 to a strong No. 10 Penn squad.

After starting off the season 7-0, the women’s lacrosse team has dropped four of its last six. Bruno hopes to turn things around Saturday afternoon against No. 9 Penn, which currently sits atop the Ivy League standings.


Senior day spoiled in overtime for women’s lacrosse

The women’s lacrosse team blew a four-goal lead over Cornell Saturday in a heartbreaking 11-10 overtime loss on Senior Day.

After starting the season a perfect 7-0, the Bears have now dropped three of their last four, including a six-goal blowout at the hands of Harvard. The team will have a chance to rebound Wednesday against Michigan.


Crimson oust women’s lacrosse from second place in conference

The women’s lacrosse team fell to Harvard 10-4 Saturday, surrendering second place in the Ivy League standings to the Crimson.

Ivy League leading scorer Bre Hudgins ’14 carries the ball up the field. Hudgins carried Bruno as well, scoring three goals in a 15-7 win over Bryant.

Bouncing back from its first two losses of the season last week, the women’s lacrosse team defeated Bryant University 15-7 Monday in the Ocean State Cup.
