After winter rest, w. crew returns to the races

The Bears head into the spring season determined to continue their historical dominance — with six NCAA titles under their belt — even though several members noted that the competition is getting tougher.

The women's crew finished the previous spring season fifth overall in the nation after an outstanding performance at NCAAs. In August, the team won the ECAC Turfer award, which is based on overall performance. And the team proved its dominance over and over during the fall season. Bruno started its fall schedule at the Head of Charles, taking eighth in a very packed meet. The team went on to finish with two boats in the top seven at the Princeton Chase and wrapped up the fall season by winning the Foot of Charles, beating Ivy rivals Harvard and Dartmouth.

With seven returning seniors and a productive indoor training session, Bruno rows against its first competitor, URI, on March 20. The official season starts at Princeton on March 27, with the EAWRC Sprints coming up on May 16 and the NCAA Championships on May 28.
