M. tennis wins final home match of season

The men’s tennis team played its final home match of the season on Sunday, rallying to defeat Dartmouth 6-1 after a disappointing 5-2 loss to Harvard on Friday. The Bears are now tied with Harvard and Yale for third in the Ivy League, behind Columbia and Cornell.

The men’s tennis team added two more wins to its record (12-4) after sweeping Fairleigh Dickinson University, 7-0, on Saturday and trouncing Marquette, 6-1, on Monday. The Bears were happy to have captains Chris Lee ’09 and Noah Gardner ’09 back in the lineup after having to fill the gaps left last week when the players were injured.

The men’s tennis team recorded one win and one loss in its home doubleheader on Saturday as the Bears fought to compensate for two senior captains’ injuries. After narrowly losing a 4-3 match to Binghamton University in the afternoon, the Bears rebounded that evening to sweep the UConn, 7-0.

The men’s tennis team (8-2) clinched third place at the ECAC Championships over the weekend. The Bears defeated Yale, 5-2, on Saturday, then dropped a 4-1 semifinal match to Columbia the next day. On Monday, the Bears obliterated Penn in the third-place match by a score of 6-0, marking their first victory over the Quakers in three years.

Men’s tennis rebounds with win against Bryant

The men’s tennis team started off its season on Monday with a 5-2 loss to Boston College, then rallied back to take a 7-0 victory over Bryant. Instead of letting their disappointment over the first match drag them down, the Bears considered the match against BC an opportunity to refocus on preparing for the rest of the season.
