Since its March 20 debut, Netflix’s “Tiger King” has taken the United States by storm. Receiving over 34 million views within its first ten days on the streaming platform, the seven-part documentary series tells the story of three eccentric private zookeepers and their dangerous, alleged secrets and crimes.

With cultural content for the whole family, the Providence French Film Festival brings comedies, dramas, documentaries, animations and children’s shorts produced in French-speaking areas to Providence.

Providence French Film Festival connects Brown with Providence community

The PFFF kicked off its 22nd year of bringing Francophone cinema to Providence Feb. 28. The festival hopes to “showcase a richness of voices, perspectives and insights from established filmmakers and emerging directors of Francophone cinema from all parts of the world,” according to the event’s press release.

Students Rémy Poisson and Jake Ruggiero completed their CSP over the five-week Wintersession period between the fall and spring semesters under the guidance of supervisor Leonard Long, Senior Critic at RISD.

‘This is Your Life’ unpacks universal experiences

Two hundred and ten hours. That is how long it took Jake Ruggiero ’22 and Rémy Poisson ’22, both dual degree students and illustrators for The Herald’s post- magazine, to complete their Collaborative Study Project, titled “This is Your Life.” 

Julia Jarcho hopes to lead the program in a direction where she can implement her personal values of important theatrical practices and new writing to shape the futures of the aspiring writers she teaches.
