The 19th-ranked men’s water polo team finished first in tournament play at the Collegiate Water Polo Association North-South Challenge this weekend, triumphing over No. 20 St. Francis University 9-8 in the championship match.

The men’s water polo team (10-2) won three of five matches at the Princeton Invitational this weekend. The Bears won 21-4 against California Lutheran University (1-3), 12-6 against Bucknell University (4-3) and 11-3 against George Washington University (4-4). Bruno fell 9-8 to Johns Hopkins University and 14-8 to the undefeated University of California at Los Angeles (7-0).

Swimmer Tommy Glenn ’14 competed in his first NCAA Division I Championships last week in Seattle, Wash. Glenn represented Brown in both the 100 and 200 butterfly events and earned All-America Honorable Mention honors after finishing 13th overall in the B Finals 200 fly with a time of 2 minutes, 24.60 seconds.


No. 9 Bears bring home the Kurtz Cup

  At the B Division Women’s National Team Championship this past weekend in Boston, the women’s squash team defeated Williams 5-4 to claim the Kurtz Cup. With the victory, the squad is now ranked ninth overall in women’s collegiate squash. The team defeated Mount Holyoke 8-1 and Bates 5-4 to meet Williams in the final, a rematch of last year’s division showdown.


Squads fall to top teams, gear up for championships

Both squash teams took on top-10 ranked opponents this weekend. The women lost 8-1 to No. 8 Dartmouth in the last home game of the season. Meanwhile, the No. 16 men defeated No. 26 Tufts with a resounding 9-0 victory, but fell 9-0 to No. 4 Harvard and 8-1 to No. 7 Dartmouth. 


Squads fall to top opponents

The No. 10 women’s squash team traveled to Philadelphia this weekend to face Penn, Stanford University, Drexel University and Princeton. The Bears defeated Drexel 9-0 but ultimately fell 8-1 to No. 4 Penn, 9-0 to No. 5 Princeton and 9-0 to Stanford.
