Actor and director John Krasinski ’01 originally declined the studio’s request for a sequel to “A Quiet Place,” his mainstream directorial debut.

Brown Motion Pictures hosted an advance screening Tuesday night of “Briarpatch,” a new television series created by “The Watch” podcast host and screenwriter Andy Greenwald  ’99.  The show, which premieres on USA Network tonight, is an adaptation of the book by the same title.

John Krasinski ’01 stepped out of his comfort zone to direct his horror film “A Quiet Place.” Krasinski stars in the film, which features the struggles of a family in an apocalyptic world,  with his wife, actress Emily Blunt.
