Former Brown football star James Develin ’10 announced his retirement from the National Football League in April after eight years of playing for the New England Patriots.

Heather Marini, former offensive quality control assistant coach, became the first female position coach in division 1 football when it was announced March 16 that she was promoted to the Bears' quarterbacks coach.

Coming into Saturday’s game against Columbia, the football team had not tasted victory in Ivy league play since Nov. 12, 2016, when it defeated Dartmouth on the road.

Despite an impressive performance by EJ Perry ’21, featuring a 50-yard touchdown rush, the Bears lost their 19th staight Ivy League game.
