As many may now know, on May 28 Brown University ended the athletic careers of 84 men and 65 women on a roughly six-minute Zoom call.

Aughavin, a political science concentrator, led the men’s lacrosse team to a comeback victory over the defending national champions.

The University’s long-standing student-athlete tutoring program, which grants individualized scheduling and attention for students juggling athletics and academics, has grown in recent years to best accommodate athletes’ unique demands.

Men’s basketball falls to U.S. Naval Academy after second-half collapse

The men’s basketball team lost at home Saturday to the United States Naval Academy by a score of 76-56, dropping its second consecutive contest for the first time this season after falling to University of Massachusetts at Lowell Tuesday.

Trey Dodd ’20 scored the first goal of the game against Providence Saturday, giving the Bears an early lead over the Friars. Bruno resumes conference play with visits to Union College and RPI this weekend.

Following a close loss to Bentley University on the road Tuesday, the men’s hockey team continued its non-conference slate with a visit to No. 13 Providence College this weekend.

Smith ’22 is currently seventh in the Ivy League in rushing with 522 yards on 106 attempts. He and quarterback EJ Perry ’21 lead the Ivy’s second-ranked rushing attack behind only Dartmouth.
