Brown Corporation approves 3.75 percent tuition increase

The Corporation, the University’s highest governing body, approved a 3.75 percent tuition increase for undergraduate and most graduate programs during its winter meeting Feb. 8, according to a University press release.

The University selected Michael White as its CFO and vice president for his experience in navigating academic research institutions.

The Corporation, the University’s highest governing body, voted to approve a 5 percent increase in undergraduate student tuition charges as part of a $1.2 billion operating budget for the 2020 fiscal year at its winter meeting Feb. 7-9.

Dean of Faculty Kevin McLaughlin advocated establishing a reimagined center for language studies following a significant decrease in the study of language nationally over the past few years.
