Margaret Thoren ’21 was out for a walk when she received an Emergency Alert that Washington, D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser had issued a city-wide curfew beginning Wednesday at 6 p.m.

In a presumed attempt to stop the Congressional certification of the Electoral College votes, the rioters stormed the building, vandalizing and taking selfies as they went, many carrying flags with Trump slogans.
