Volunteer groups reflect on adapting service work to pandemic

While the pandemic forced University and local service organizations to limit in-person outreach and work, the needs of those they serve have only grown as Rhode Island battles economic and public health crises. 

The Swearer Center for Public Service could not accommodate all qualified students who applied to the Off-Campus Federal Work-Study program this semester. In 2018, a working group recommended an increase in OCFWS  funding, but no changes have been made.
