Students began preparing to move on Thursday, following President Paxson's initial email telling students to leave campus.

$5.4 million in aid issued to Rhode Island to combat COVID-19

In an effort to help reduce the spread of COVID-19, Rhode Island is receiving $4.9 million in supplemental aid as part of an $8.3 billion spending package issued by the Trump Administration, which comes in addition to a $500,000 grant from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Among student concerns raised in the UCS meeting circling the COVID-19 pandemic, members discussed measures to support campus safety and increase transparency in communication.
