In 2013, President Christina Paxson P’19 unveiled her 10-year strategic plan, “Building on Distinction.” The plan called upon the Brown community to “enhance our capacity in the creative use of online technologies” through “aggressive experimentation in new modes of education.”

Mulligan ’19: Brown should increase LGBTQ+ course offerings

Earlier this month, California approved textbooks that include LGBTQ+ history for use in public schools for grades K-12.

The University revealed a new website, Courses@Brown, for students to choose their classes. The interface replaces the Banner system that many considered outdated and aesthetically displeasing. The design of the new site was a collaborative project between The University, students and third-party vendor Leapfrog.
