University releases third annual DIAP progress report

Earlier this month, the University published its third annual report on progress made toward goals established in its 2016 Diversity and Inclusion Action Plan.

UCS Vice President William Zhou ’20 spoke to the general body during Wednesday’s meeting. At the meeting, he asked  Provost Locke about University support for departments that are moving slower under their DIAPs.

Students searching for classes during pre-registration might have noticed a category in the bottom left corner of the Courses@Brown website: the Diversity and Inclusion Action Plan designation, which encompasses classes that address inequality, privilege and power, race and gender in a variety of contexts.

Editorial: Ensuring transparency in BrownTogether

On Jan. 4, the University announced that it had successfully raised more than half of its BrownTogether fundraising goal, collecting over $1.64 billion since the campaign’s official launch in fall 2015.

In an effort to make the University’s campus more accessible, Student and Employee Accessibility Services has advocated for renovations to Wilson Hall on the Main Green. Those changes began last fall.
