Swearer Center executive director steps down

Mathew Johnson, associate dean of the College for engaged scholarship and director of the Carnegie Foundation Community Engagement Classification, stepped down from his position as executive director of the Swearer Center March 1.

The documentary on renowned Swedish director Ingmar Bergman (pictured above) was directed by Jane Magnusson ’92.

Students gathered in the Granoff Center for the Creative Arts’ Martinos Auditorium Tuesday for the first U.S. showing of “Bergman — A Year in a Life.”

Though Brown was removed as director, the orchestra will perform Friday under the leadership of music teaching associate Daniel Harp.
