This semester, the University opened the doors to on-campus residency to the majority of sophomores, juniors and seniors beginning on September 18. Dorms were all converted to single-occupancy rooms, each equipped with a mini-fridge and microwave.

Medical personnel will initially be housed on Pembroke Campus in Andrews, Miller and Metcalf halls, said Executive Vice President for Planning and Policy Russell Carey.

The new university housing complex is planned to be located on the lot that currently holds Bagel Gourmet. Adding close to four hundred beds to the inventory of housing available to students, the new residence hall will help ensure that the University can continue to provide housing in accordance with the six semester on-campus living requirement.
