The field hockey team has added former University of Louisville star and USA National Team member Erin McCrudden to its coaching staff, the team announced March 27. McCrudden will be working as an assistant coach alongside Head Coach Jill Reeve and fellow Assistant Coach Jillian Coppola. 

Van Rootselaar ’22 guided Brown to a 3-1 victory over Dartmouth Saturday. The sophomore midfielder has scored 15 points this year.

Field hockey midfielder Danielle van Rootselaar ’22 played a role in all three goals in the Bears’ win against Dartmouth over the weekend, assisting in the first two tallies and scoring the final goal herself.

The Bears secured a win against Big Green on Saturday, finding momentum after losing six contests this season. The Bears will face off against Harvard this Sunday.

This past weekend, field hockey goalkeeper Katie Hammaker ’19 recorded 14 saves in a loss to Penn and 13 saves in a win over Villanova University.

The field hockey team traveled to Philadelphia last weekend, falling to Penn 1-0 and defeating Villanova University 3-1. Katie Hammaker ’19 starred in net for the Bears and recorded 14 saves in the loss and 13 in the victory.

Despite the two losses, the Bears played with great effort, pushing William and Mary to overtime and battling Richmond to the final whistle. Bruno will return home to face the University of New Hampshire this Friday.
