Brown students release new website to streamline housing lottery

As the University’s Housing Lottery approaches later this month, three sophomores at the University recently created and released Bear Dens, a new online service aimed at helping to guide students through the complicated process of choosing where to live next academic year.

Throughout students’ time at Brown, great emphasis is placed on the housing process — and rightfully so. Underclassmen living on campus may worry about their dorm’s location, the quality of common spaces and bathrooms and the size of their room.

Hegeman Hall, one of the three dorms that will undergo renovations this upcoming summer, primarily houses upperclassmen students on campus.
