Peter Litsky ’20 closed out his senior season on a hot streak, winning his final eight completed singles matches and leading the men’s tennis team to victories against Yale, Michigan State University and Boston College.

This spring break saw several impressive performances from Brown’s athletic teams. Highlights from this weekend included a 4-2 victory over Yale for the men’s tennis team, women’s lacrosse defeating Fresno State University 19-13 and 10 first place finishes for track and field at the Bryant Black and Gold Invitational.

Athletic Director Jack Hayes offered Gordon Ernst ’89, a Division I tennis coach recently indicted in the national college admissions scandal, the head coaching position for men’s tennis in 2016.

Gordon Ernst ’89, a Division I tennis coach recently indicted in the national college admissions scandal, was offered the head coaching position for Brown’s men’s tennis team in 2016 while federal authorities allege he was accepting millions of dollars in bribes as a coach at Georgetown University.

Aaron Sandberg ’18 is one of six upperclassmen on the tennis team, which wrapped up its tournament season last week under new head coach Tim Gray.
