Men’s and Women’s Water Polo Head Coach Felix Mercado is in his 14th season of coaching for the Bears. Under his direction, Bruno has posted four 20-win seasons in the last six years across the two water polo teams. Brown’s water polo teams have also appeared in the national rankings in both 2018 and 2020.

Leo Berkman ’23 has had a breakout first year on the men’s water polo team, scoring the second-highest number of goals.

Brown beat Massachusetts Institute of Technology 17-12 at home Saturday with a hat trick from attacker Leo Berkman ’23 that helped the Bears short circuit the Engineers.

The Bears’ tenacious mentality and strategy contributed to their critical 13-10 win against Wagner College Saturday. Brown proceeded to win five out of its six games in the Bruno Classic over the weekend. The team will return to the pool in the Princeton Invitational this Saturday.
