Dean of the College Rashid Zia ’01 and Dean of the Graduate School Andrew G. Campbell also announced that changes will be made to the current pre-registration system to “improve this process for all students,” in the community-wide email announcing the delay Wednesday.

Faculty vote to extend first-year orientation

Faculty voted unanimously to approve a two-day extension of the University’s first-year orientation program during the first monthly faculty meeting of the year Tuesday. The extension will take effect as a pilot program for academic years 2020-2021 and 2021-2022.

Dean of the College Rashid Zia ’01 spoke at the Undergraduate Council of Students general body meeting Wednesday night. They discussed the class pre-registration process and ways to address exam stress.
