Melanie Ruzzi was hired as the new head coach of the women’s hockey team, Vice President  for Athletics and Recreation M. Grace Calhoun PhD’92 announced in a statement May 20.

Providence College has recently seen a spike in COVID-19 cases, with 202 positive tests confirmed as of Sept. 28. Students are now under a strict stay-at-home directive.

In the last seven days, Brown administered 10,000 COVID-19 asymptomatic tests to students and faculty with no confirmed positive cases among students. In total, Brown has announced 16 asymptomatic positive cases since Aug. 24. 

Trey Dodd ’20 scored the first goal of the game against Providence Saturday, giving the Bears an early lead over the Friars. Bruno resumes conference play with visits to Union College and RPI this weekend.
