While faculty and students remain divided over the University’s policy on the Reserve Officers’ Training Corps, many community members said they are in favor of the formation of the office for ROTC called for by the Corporation at its October meeting.

Brown students can currently only participate in the Army ROTC program at Providence College, but Simmons' recommendations would allow the University to look at other partnerships with nearby campuses.
