The women’s squash team earned its second straight win last Thursday with a 9-0 victory over Dickinson College. The team, ranked 11th in the nation, was led by Hannah Seckendorf ’20. Playing in the number one slot, Seckendorf fought back from a two-game deficit in a best-of-five sets match to claim victory.

Nick Talbott ’15 played in his first championship tournament this weekend. Talbott, who was previously on the men’s crew team, has translated his athletic ability to the squash court.

The best squash players in the nation battled it out this weekend in the last tournament of the season: the College Squash Individual National Championship.

Charlie Blasberg ’18 lunges for the ball. Blasberg proved instrumental this weekend, winning every match he played.

The women’s squash team captured the third place title at the Kurtz Cup, defeating Franklin and Marshall in the first round before falling to Stanford.

It was a rough week for the men’s and women’s squash teams, as they both fell to Harvard and Dartmouth. The men remain at No. 16 in the nation.

After dominating their opponents last week, the men’s and women’s squash teams faced some stiffer competition this week.

Oliver Booth ’16 returns an opposition hit. After an inconsistent start to the season, the Bears rebounded this week, winning games against NESCAC opponents.

The squash teams kicked off this semester in great form last week, sweeping both Colby and Bowdoin over the weekend and beating Amherst Wednesday night.

After losing in a 5-4 upset to George Washington University Saturday, Bruno bounced back the next day, edging Bates College in another 5-4 matchup to secure third place in the College Squash Association’s B Division Tournament. The team finished the season 13-8.

The women’s squash team traveled to Princeton, N.J. to play in the College Squash Association Team Championships Friday.

The men’s squash team, led by a group of seniors including Tod Holberton ’14, went 1-3 over the long weekend, losing a hard-fought match to Middlebury to end a team tournament at Harvard with a 2-1 record.
