At their Wednesday evening general body meeting, the Undergraduate Council of Students heard a presentation from SHARE and received information about recommended changes to the Code of Student Conduct.

The University aims to hire a program coordinator for the Institute for Transformative Practice. The coordinator will work with existing communities  to facilitate support and healing to address harm within groups such as sororities, fraternities and athletic teams.

During the Undergraduate Council of Students’ general body meeting Wednesday evening, student coalition Brown Divest gave a presentation to request that the council add a referendum to the UCS ballot for the upcoming March elections.

The UCS general body voted in favor of several Elections Code changes such as allowing students on leave or abroad to vote in elections.

The Undergraduate Council of Students unanimously voted in favor of four changes to the UCS and Undergraduate Finance Board Elections Code and heard from a Project Let’s Erase the Stigma representative at its general body meeting Wednesday evening.

UCS Vice President William Zhou ’20 spoke to the general body during Wednesday’s meeting. At the meeting, he asked  Provost Locke about University support for departments that are moving slower under their DIAPs.
