The Undergraduate Council of Students elected Ricky Zhong ’23 as the UCS/Undergraduate Finance Board Liaison and Elli Lee ’22 as UCS Treasurer, according to a Saturday email from the Council.

The Undergraduate Council of Students began voting to elect the Council’s treasurer and UCS/Undergraduate Finance Board liaison position at its general body meeting Wednesday evening.

UCS held its first general body meeting on Wednesday, Sept. 23. The Council discussed the new UCS Equity and Inclusion Committee, project updates and upcoming UCS elections.

As part of a coalition which now includes student body presidents from over 150 universities, Undergraduate Council of Students President William Zhou ’20 helped organize two letters calling for flexibility in hiring and program admissions criteria and loosened interstate psychological counseling regulations.

The Undergraduate Council of Students plans to develop a new University committee dedicated to Brown’s impact on and engagement with the wider Providence community.
