Five men and five women were awarded Academic All-Ivy status for the winter season for their outstanding performances on the field and off. To receive the award, the student-athlete must contribute significantly to his or her team and have a GPA of at least 3.0.
On the men's side it was all seniors in their final season of competition who qualified. The honorees were No. 1 squash player Ed Cerullo '08, freestyle swimmer Brian Kelly '08, All-Ivy basketball player Mark McAndrew '08, tri-captain heavyweight wrestler Levon Mock '08 and men's hockey assistant captain David Robertson '08.
On the women's side, free-style swimmer Dillon Delaney '08 and epee fencer Christine Livoti '08 were the seniors who were honored. The three juniors receiving honors were sprinter Nicole Burns '09, gymnast Jen Sobuta '09 and hockey goaltender Nicole Stock '09, a Herald sports staff writer.
