The following is an account of crime events that took place this past week, reported to The Herald by Deputy Chief of Police for the Department of Public Safety Paul Shanley:
February 12, 2014
The Department of Public Safety arrested and charged a juvenile in the case of the assault of a Brown community member Feb. 12. At around 9:30 p.m., five unknown males assaulted the Brown community member at the intersection of Angell and Brown Streets, according to a campus-wide email sent Feb 13. There is no known motive, and it is believed the victim was chosen randomly. The investigation is ongoing.
