Local businesses open shop in face of hurricane

Hurricane Sandy may be closing in – Connnecticut Gov. Dannel Malloy ordered the closing of state highways to all vehicles but emergency ones starting at 1 p.m. today, and President Obama signed Rhode Island’s emergency declaration this morning, freeing up federal aid for the state’s response efforts – but several local businesses are pushing through. Should you plan on leaving your dorm room, here’s where you can and can’t go:
