Develin '10 earns top defense honors

Defensive end James Develin '10 was honored with the Sports Network's FCS National Defensive Player of the Week honor as well as being named the Ivy League Defensive Player of the Week for his efforts in the Bears' win against Stony Brook last Saturday. His nine tackles - 3.5 for loss - two sacks and forced fumble wreaked havoc on the Seawolves' offense, holding them scoreless for the entire game. Develin adds these awards to a second team All-Ivy selection from last year after leading the league in tackles for a loss.

Wide receiver Buddy Farnham '10 won the Boston Globe Gold Helmet Award for his 14 catches for 111 yards in Saturday's game. The first team All-Ivy honoree last year also returned a kick-off of 41 yards to contribute to the Bears' 259 total yards on offense.
