From March 2 through March 6, the Brown Center for Students of Color’s Multiracial Heritage Series, the Brown Organization of Multiracial and Biracial Students and the Mixed-Asian/Pacific Islander Students’ Heritage group will commemorate the Loving v. Virginia Supreme Court case with their annually-hosted Loving Week.

Nicole Truesdell, who served as assistant vice president for campus life from March 2018 until January 2020, stepped down last month to transition into an “affiliated faculty role,” announced Vice President for Campus Life Eric Estes in a Jan. 25 Today@Brown announcement.

LGBTQ Center hires new assistant director Caitlin O’Neill

Caitlin O’Neill joined the University’s LGBTQ Center as a new assistant director Dec. 9, 2019. According to the LGBTQ Center’s Director Kelly Garrett, the assistant director position arose from a previous program coordinator position during the summer of 2017.

The Watson Institute announced the new IAPA concentration last spring to mixed student reactions. The three-track concentration is now available to current students in the 2019-20 academic year.
